2006-06-10 Hiking and Camping at Cohutta Wilderness - rajiv
I don't have a photo of it but, during one of the river crossings, I came across a snake in the water, just a few feet upstream from me. It had its forked tongue out. I was lost in the moment of observing the snake at close quarters and didn't think of taking a photo at that time. With the stick in my hands, awe, rather than fear was the feeling I had as I watched the snake and it watched me. Yes, I did have snake-bite kit including antidote for venom in my backpack.
